Hi Guys!

We are proud to announce our first contest, where you get a chance to showcase your creative talent to your friends and foes.
(Non designer/ artists will be given preference)

You are invited to participate with your own creatives for our 2012 calendar.

The above (sample) image is contributed by Mr. Nitesh Patil. Artwork made out of card board and paper!

About Contest

Just post us your creatives and if you are selected you'll be featured in our calendar with your name, designation and a personal quote or dedication on one of the calendar page. Also, you will receive a hard copy of the calendar to display on your desktop.

How to enter?

Just post your creatives (Images, pref . in jpeg, png format ) on our facebook page or email us at contests@gserve.in. There are no rules as to what you can post. Even a nicely decorated cake or salad could be one of the winners. Get more ideas!

Who can enter?

Anyone can enter, but *we encourage those who are not from designing/ artist domain to participate in the contest.

Selection

The selection will be based on Idea/ Concept, Your occupation* , Efforts put in, Likes on FB, Comments, etc.

Last Date for submissions is Dec 12th 2011. We'll need 3 weeks to bring your calendar to life!

Loginto your Gmail

Go to settings Top right -Options > Mail Settings. Click on > Accounts and Import

In Check mail using POP3 Section: Click on 'AddPOP3 Email Account' button.

Check suitable options for:
- Leave a copy of retrieved message on the server.
- Always use a secure connection (SSL) when retrieving mail.
- Label incoming messages: use same email address
- Archive incoming messages (Skip the Inbox)

Click "Send Verification"

You will receive a verification email. Copy-paste the codeand there you go! Now you are ready to use gmail to access your company email account. You can add more account in similar fashion. Current max account limit is 5.

What is a favicon?

A favicon (fav-i-con, short for favorites icon), is an icon associated with a particular website or webpage. A favicon is displayed in the adderss bar of the website and is also known as website icon. Favicon is a unique representation of the web site or the organization's logo, hence making the end user to easly identify the web URL in the bookmark list and tabbed documented interface. Favicon was first introduced as a Shortcut Icon by Microsoft for Internet Explorer 5 and is now a prominent fixture of web browsers such as Mozilla and Netscape.

Where can i see my favicon?

Browsers that support favicon display them in (1) the browser's URL bar, (2) next to the site's name in lists of bookmarks, and (3) next to the page's title in a tabbed document interface.

The Windows operating system is capable of displaying favicon in Internet shortcuts placed on the desktop and elsewhere in the file system.

I want to create my own favicon.

Follow these steps to create your own favicon:

Create a 16x16 color (16 colors) graphic that will represents your website. It could be company logo or a entirely new graphic that will represent your orginization. (In order to create the icon you may need to download a program that will allow you to create your graphic in the .ico format. You can use a free graphic tool like Irfan view to create your graphic).
Save it as favicon.ico and place it on your root directory where you have installed your index page (If you are using firefox you can use free FTP client, FireFTP to upload your files from your browser).
Use ASCII text editor (Notepad on Windows) and open the html file. Copy and paste the code below, just below the (head)
